If you are experiencing dental pain, the first step is to call Doreen Dental Clinic as soon as possible. We are open Monday to Saturday, and our six-day schedule may mean more availability than you expect. Same-day appointments may be available depending on the day, and we do our best to see urgent patients quickly.
If You Cannot Reach Us
If you are in pain outside of our opening hours or cannot get through by phone, contact 1800MEDICARE (1800 633 422). Their 24-hour nurse helpline can provide guidance on managing your symptoms while you wait for a dental appointment. This is a free, government-funded service available to all Australians.
When to Go to a Hospital Emergency Department
Some situations require immediate medical attention rather than a dental appointment. Go to your nearest emergency department if you experience:
- Swelling in your face or neck that affects your breathing or swallowing
- Uncontrolled bleeding from your mouth that does not stop with pressure
- Trauma to your face, jaw, or teeth from an accident or injury
These situations may need care beyond what a dental practice can provide.
